Villa Verano

We arrived on a Saturday and first impressions were good however there were a few issues including a broken shower door, light fittings not working and 4 broken chairs. On the Sunday morning the front bathroom was flooded along with the floor. It became apparent the drains were all blocked and none of the sinks, toilets or showers were draining. We called, messaged and whatsapp and their response was to let us know they would respond on Monday! This meant we had no option but to leave the property for as long as possible, and spent most of the day mopping the floors. We managed to get hold of them on the Monday morning. They advised they were getting a specialised company to unblock the drain which was due to tree roots. In the meantime they came and took the broken chairs and mopped the floors again. The drains were unblocked at 6pm on the Monday and during the rest of our stay we didn't hear from them again. They did not sort the shower door which they blamed on previous guests breaking, bring back the chairs so we had only 2 inside chairs for 8 people and they didn't replace the light bulbs. The property itself is obviously not looked after by the property managers and it feels like they are just letting it out as much as possible without spending any time or money to maintain what could be a really lovely place.

Positive: L'emplacement, super. Jolies plages accessibles à pieds, super boulangerie à 10minutes de voiture, assez centrale pour visiter l'ile. Malgré que nous avons rencontré personne (echanges par mail), les soucis que nous avons eu (panne machine à café, panne grille pain, soucis piscine, manque de couverts) ont été réglé sans que nous ayons besoin d'insister. Ce qui a été très appréciable. Negative: Manque d'entretien de la maison et des installations : panne de differents électroménagers (machine a cafe, grille pain) chaises interieurs bancales (limites risque qu'elles se cassent, elles se demontaient). Manque quelques aspects de confort au vu du prix : porte serviettes dans les salles de bain par exemple, ustensiles de cuisines en suffisance ( quand nous sommes arrivés il y avait que 7 couteaux et nous avons réservé pour 8).... Pour les personnes sensibles aux bruits - nous avons pu profiter dans animations musicales dans deux grands hotels de la baie (musique assez forte). Rapport qualité prix élevé, selon nous.
